Navigating Whiteness at Work is a new series by Rhonda Hill of Race and Faith and Erica Turner of Bridge the Divide. This series is designed to promote deeper understanding of the ways white supremacy shows itself in the workplace. Serving in leadership capacity? This series is a must as it will strengthen your leadership capacity and cultural competence.
Erica Turner is a Registered Nurse and IT professional in healthcare. Erica was integral to creating the grass roots organization Bridge the Divide which sponsors racially literate podcasts, educational programming, community projects, film series and book studies to promote lasting, cross-cultural connections. Her goal is to facilitate community conversations that launch joint, achievable, sustainable solutions, especially in the North Shore suburbs and exurbs. She is committed to interacting with love, listening while reserving judgment, fostering healing from racial injustices, and waking up apathetic attitudes. Erica was the recipient of the Spirit of Unity, NAACP Game Changers awards in 2018 and 2019 YWCA SEW Eliminating Racism Award.
Rhonda Hill has spent over a decade focusing on issues of racism and poverty. She has served as counselor, consultant, coach and group facilitator.She is an analytical, creative, systems thinker with compassion. Her commitment to raising awareness about racism is seen through her previous work with the Milwaukee Social Development Commission, the YWCA, the Greater Milwaukee Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Interfaith Conference of Greater Milwaukee and as founder of Race and Faith. Rhonda has a master's degrees in Marriage and Family therapy and in Theological Studies
