About the Event
Black Equity and Policy Institute: Equity and Policy in WI
This is a basic equity in policy course specific to the state of WI and designed for Bridge the Divide.
In this course participants can expect to:
- Discuss and participate in activities that explore how we identify ourselves and each other
- Learn basic policy skills and tools
- Learn tips for becoming an ally in justice work
- Understand the importance of self-care in justice work
- Learn strategies for responding to racism and/or microaggressions
- Leave with the framework of an action plan for working toward equity in policy-
Please bring:
- Water, coffee, tea, etc.
- Pen or pencil
- Binder/Equity Journal and
- An open mind
